Allen; You quoted this, and I agree that it's extremely interesting. Iacobucci has a good personal relationship with Bill Gates, which began in the 80's when IBM was working with Microsoft on OS/2. Ed was in charge of the development team for IBM, I believe. Anyway, that phrase "other industry leaders" has some fascinating connotations when viewed in that light. Along the same line Allen, there was a newspaper article about 12 months ago in SE Florida about Ed. It mentioned that Ed had turned down a job offer from Gates in order to start his own company. If he taken the job with Microsoft he would be many times richer, based on his Msft stock options, the paper said, than he was with his CTXS shares. They quoted Ed as saying that despite which he was happy that he made the right decision in starting CTXS. Not sure that he said it but I got the impression that he thought CTXS would grow like Msft did in the early years and catch up. Ofcourse, it is all speculation but the idea in the RB post , that Ed was forced out after a fight rings truer than that he suddenly decided to start again somewhere else. The question as to if this is good for the company and the stock is debatable. As to no stomach for selling, I understand. One could argue that after falling from 100+ there has to be more upside potential than downside risk. As far as a buy out goes it is 20 billion cheaper now-some discount. FWIW. I have seen these things happen in a few stocks that I have owned. Ascend was one, it tanked lost much credibility etc, etc. After coming down to the low 20'ties from the 90 range it climbed back up and got bought by Lucent. Xlan and Fore were similar. Silicon Graphics OTOH has kept falling save for some rallies on buy-out rumors. The difference is that the former companies has excellent tech in a fast growing and consolidating sector and SGI found it's niche attacked from all sides. Question is then this. How good is CTXs's tech and products and can they beat the competition and is the sector hot and growing. What are your thoughts on this? Ray
