BN - if the frequency has just been opened, licenses have yet to be awarded, systems have to be built out, IJ says GSM doesn't offer a road to 3G, NOK will get serious with CDMA, and 1x will roll out in Korea and Japan in the last quarter and the US early 2001, with 1xev and HDR seemingly picking up speed and support, where do you suppose the Brazilian CDMA carriers will be by the time any GSM system rolls out? GSM will offer Brazilians a choice and some flexibility in Europe and barely in the US, but the real question is how much it will hurt Q. IMO, not too much once 2.5G actually moves out. Best, John
