Does anyone have any examples of some recent sweeping patents that were issued and successfully challenged (and tossed?). The wacko patents we have in software are holding.

For example, if this technology were found to be used in mainframes from misc. manufacturers prior to 1990, would that be grounds to overturn the rambus patent?

I'm long rambus - just trying to clarify some legal issues here. thx

Scumbria LET LOOSE.

You keep forgetting that Hitachi STOLE from RAMBUS.
They admitted it.
They would not have settled so early if it were not true!

Now Micron is in the same boat.
TOUGH SHIT FOR MICRON.

Did you feel the same about QCOMs patents.
Patents protect the little guy from the likes of thieves like Hitachi and Micron.

Hitachi just admitted to being a thief.
Micron will to, in due time.

Micron got The TI fabs and access to their DRAM patents.
I do not know the extent of what exactly they got here,
but I do not think Rambus will collect anything from Micron.
Micron maybe the only DRAM company with this situation, who knows and may take years to find out.
Good trading.
