"Some of the SEG sales were pre-split and some were post-
split. I think we figured that as of early May SEG had just
less than 3 million shares and was below the level required
to file a 144 with the SEC.
"

If that's so, why did they file a Form 144 on May 30 to sell an additional 500,000 shares?

ps- MSN MoneyCentral Investor has proposed sales of:
05/30/00 500,000 $27.56 Mil BANC OF AMERICA SECURITIES LLC
05/16/00 520,000 $35.88 Mil BANC OF AMERICA SECURITIES LLC
05/05/00 500,000 $45.00 Mil BANC OF AMERICA SECURITIES LLC
05/04/00 250,000 $22.75 Mil

and finally:
05/30/00 SEAGATE TECHNOLOGY, AMOUNT:7 Mil shares VALUE:$689 Mil

pps- Might it be said that overhead supply might just be of tsunami proportions... unfortunately for near-term price action (ouch!)?

Aus,

Regarding your post over the weekend about consumers choosing a generic, plain-brown-wrapper brand of CF, remember that most consumers will go for the cheapest price, unless a manufacturer gives them a real reason not to. Kodak invested hundreds of millions of dollars to build its image of the golden yellow box that takes the best pictures. Look how long--and how many billions of yen--Fuji had to invest before its film became a competitor to Kodak.

SNDK has a long way to go to become a brand that people ask for by name. As far as I can tell, the company is simply skipping over that type of marketing. I think SNDK hopes to make its money from deals with OEMs and royalties. Its retail presence isn't too bad, but no one but the people on this thread would bother to ask for it by name. Too bad.
