Jim,at first,I think that the FON internet and some long distance priced 45-50 Bl,will likely be acquired by one of the international player, most probably by DT.
Having a part of good US company, with quite solid internet backbone....DT will not be so terrible.
They are growing much faster now, than before.
You can't say what will happen to DT and WCOM in a few years from now.
Maybe I went with my predictions too far to the future, but this scenario we should keep in mind as a WCOM shareholders.
On another hand,if FON deal will not close,I think that WCOM itself, will be for sale.
As concern the stock prices,the same story was before MCI merger.After the deal was closed, WCOM had a nice run up.
