re: WCOM LEAPs:

2003s, for WCOM, won't be available till late July. They are on a different option cycle than MSFT. At stock prices of 35-40, I'll be buying the stock. Below that (if it happens), I'll be buying the 2003 LEAPs. Haven't decided which strike price, I usually pick strike prices 30-50% above the current stock price, if I think the stock will at least double over the life of the option. But the market volatility, and endless Fed tightenings (I don't think we're done yet), and the possibility of a recession in 2001, has made me more cautious. "Cautious" means I buy LEAPs that aren't as far out of the money!
