I know of no crooks on wall street that are atheists.

For some, religion is there because they need it...for others, it is way to justify actions- even bad actions, such as conning and killing, for others it is just something their parents gave to them.

the biggest scammer/stock promoter i knew was a born-again christian on SI (aka Macker). The fact is religion has no place in these issues...when chirodoc referred to some of the management team as good, church-going people...i had to laugh. Going to a place of worship does not in itself make anybody good.

Regardless of why you have religion, I sure hope COII management gets some of the kind that preaches honesty. And as far as i know, they all do...including mormons. It is just in how sick people twist things around to justify their pathetic actions

Based on additional info. i have read on this board, i plan to take another bite at COII this week.

It is a stereotype that you have developed. Stereotypes are normal and we develop them to protect ourselves and learn short-cuts on how to deal with things. For instance, a person who believes that black widows are poisonous may think that every spider he/she sees is a black widow and therefore dangerous. This stereotype does not harm anyone. but is a useful for that person.

I try not to stereotype people too much and treat each person on his/her merit. I had dinner with a former Bain partner who is a Mormon,,,he was also the CEO of TWA for awhile. He was a very nice and upfront guy.

Labeling Mormon businessmen as crooked is not fair. Even if a higher percentage of Mormon businessmen are crooked (which i have no reason to believe to be true), it casts all mormon business people in a negative light and i am sure there are many scores of good, ethical ones.

if you look at COII management..if you look at each one of them...they stink. once again, i believe religion has no part in this stuff.
