Wireless Knowledge, Inc., a Microsoft Corporation (Nasdaq: MSFT) and QUALCOMM Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM) company that brings wireless data to mobile business workers, today announced it has joined the AT&T Wireless Services Data Solutions Program. As an AT&T Wireless Services data solutions provider, Wireless Knowledge will work with AT&T's existing sales and distribution channels while leveraging AT&T's marketing resources to reach qualified enterprise customers for its Workstyle(TM) Server.

Wireless Knowledge's Workstyle Server provides secure, real-time access to Microsoft© Exchange Server-based corporate e-mail, calendar and contacts using wireless Internet-ready devices. The Workstyle Server is available through the AT&T Digital PocketNet(SM) service Internet phones. AT&T PocketNet service business customers pay a flat monthly rate of $14.99 for unlimited wireless data use, when combined with AT&T Digital One Rate or AT&T Group Calling voice rate plans.

The first enterprise customer resulting from the joint program is Pacific Coast Building Products, Inc., which builds and distributes building materials. A 3,000-employee company headquartered in Sacramento, the company is utilizing the solution to provide easy and convenient access to its corporate Microsoft Exchange information for mobile workers.

"AT&T is excited to have Wireless Knowledge join our strong base of Data Solution Program members," said Tom Trinneer, vice president of data product development for AT&T Wireless Services. "The joint marketing and development efforts of our two companies brings together the benefits of our AT&T Digital PocketNet service with secure access to Microsoft Exchange 5.5 information using the Workstyle Server. This is a very cost-effective and efficient wireless communications solution for our customers."

The AT&T Wireless Data Solutions Program is supported by AT&T with marketing and sales activities that promote the sale of the Workstyle Server, including sales lead generation, marketing and technical support. In addition, AT&T Wireless launched a nationwide advertising campaign in February 2000 that features the Workstyle Server in leading business publications.

"Wireless Knowledge's participation in the AT&T Wireless Data Solutions Provider is a natural evolution of our relationship and represents an ongoing commitment to work together," said Dave Whalen, vice president, sales for Wireless Knowledge. "Together, the two companies have developed a strong wireless data offering for the enterprise market."

AT&T Wireless and Wireless Knowledge have conducted several Workstyle Server seminars and given the positive response, plan to do more in the upcoming months. Businesses attending the seminars learn about the benefits of Workstyle Server and AT&T Digital PocketNet service.

tekboy,

I'd be extremely interested in your thoughts on the following stocks in gorilla game terms: QCOM, GMST, SNDK and RMBS.

Thanks for offering such a narrow topic of discussion. Sheesh! :)

Okay. You really did narrow it down for me.

although all aspire to be enabling technology gorillas, only QCOM is there yet. GMST is waiting for the tornado, and SNDK is waiting for the lock. RMBS seems to have been granted a retrospective gorilla status in a non-tornadoing area, and I can't figure out how we should assess that. Can you?

Point by point. Tell me where I've got it wrong.

Yes, QCOM is there. Yes, GMST is waiting for the tornado.

I'm not sure what you mean by SanDisk not having the lock.
They seem to have the standard in place for digital cameras and there's no reason for me to think they won't have it for the other areas of their business. The tornado is already in place based on total revenue and my guess is that it's coming mostly from the digital camera side of things.

As far as Rambus is concerned, there is no such thing as a
retrospective gorilla status in a non-tornadoing area because without a tornado there is no gorilla status of any kind. Remember, I'm a by-the-book kind of guy. :)

Your thoughts?
