Good point. I'd forgotten to mention how MS attempts to drive their customers on a continuous upgrade treadmill with the
implication that things will be wonderful if only users buy the new release. If this is how it works, why should I use any current
release of their products, shouldn't I always just wait for the next one? If I implement 2000 now, how soon can I expect to hear
you respond to reports of problems with the suggestion that things are all better now in a newer version? Been there, done that.
In any case, my sources are current, I prefer to learn from the mistakes of others.

Remember: burn me once, shame on you, burn me twice, shame on me.<

If millions of IT use and prefer the same MSFT products as you do and indeed get better result than you do. Do you ever consider yourself as inferior and incompetent compare to others?

Mike

Schmandel, if you have been really burned by MS products as you say you have been, I understand your frustration. However, to my knowledge, there have been teams in Microsoft in the past which are tasked with addressing customer problems such as yours and provide fixes to current products. Maybe if some day you are forced to deal with Microsoft products which don't work for you, you should escalate it through established channels.

Well said, IMHO. It'll always be "fixed in the next release."
