Hmmm.....if only BILOW had seen these earlier. He might have gone long the stock and he would not have to work as a basher anymore. Oh well, poetic justice.

By the way, it has been asserted that the latency drops further at higher FSB speeds. But I guess we will have to wait for a real measurement to verify that too.

A pro-RMBS (?biased) latency test: dramreview.com


The test does no more than confirm what we have known for some time - the latency to the first memory access is slightly longer with Rambus PC800 than with PC133-2. However, the much higher data transfer rate more than compensates for this when memory is being used intensively.
