Thanks for an excellent, excellent post, DS. Very worthwhile reading. Where can we subscribe to the DS Report? Oh wait, we already do. :-) GG is indeed an amusing talking head, but not a visionary, not omniscient, and not to be taken "raw" as investment advice. (not to mention his annoying habit, all too common among technology pundits, of inserting political propaganda into technology writing)

Great analysis, DS. I thought the leading edge comment contradictory. The issue of PRCM using next Pentium generation was glossed over. Procom uses conventional Pentium processors. NetApp still employs leading edge Alpha chips to extort the utmost in execution speeds from a single processor and faces problems in adapting to the next Pentium generation. Jack
