Well, at least you bought a Micron. I have had nothing but good experience with the 2 Micron laptops that I have had in the past.

Some call them the "Harley Davidson's" of Laptops.

cmb,

<< you have to hold the start button in a second or two, that just because the light beside the switch comes on it's not necessarily good enough >>

I think if you practice this for a week or so you'll have it down cold.

Here's Mike's rant:

Rhetorical question: When the first computer won't turn on, will Norton's Doctor put in the correct hardware that the second computer didn't have even though it was supposed to be exactly the same as the first computer? When Micron (no slouch of a company) enters into a contract with Unysis (also no slouch of a company) to be their service provider, will Doctor also get Unysis to install voice mail so I can at least leave a message so it doesn't take two weeks of phone calls to schedule an appointment? And when the technician calls the day after he was supposed to be here to ask when the appointment is, will Doctor fix that too? And when he calls ten minutes after he was supposed to be here for the rescheduled appointment asking how to get to my house (even though he's been here three times), will Doctor give the technician a map?

Like I said, ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!

(Poor baby, he'll be just fine as soon as he finds the foot pedal)
