Timna opens up a new market of sub-$600 PCs, maybe even sub-$500 PCs. It will also allow for smaller form factors, lower power consumption, fewer components, etc. Timna-based PCs will then become more console-like without sacrificing any of the functionality or versatility that PCs already possess over consoles (like WebTV, Playstation 2, Dreamcast, etc.)

By the way, remember the Book PC that we talked about briefly over on the AMD thread?

Didn't you call this an "X-Box in training"? Think about how much further the Book PC concept can be carried once Timna is released? Kind of reduces the gap between low-end PCs and X-Box, no?

P.S. - Now if only we can make the PC as easy to use as a console, Timna would have a guaranteed future ...
