You make some good points about the RBOC factor with ALA. Part of the problem may also be that U.S. customers do not like to allow much open press about their purchasing activities. ALA is selling much xDSL, but that is likely a much smaller margin product for them than the core/edge platform from NN or the other switching products.

Data may be growing at a faster pace than voice, but the voice market is still huge & lucrative for ALA. Let's face it ALA is working to become an all in one vendor. To win in the current market anything else won't succeed.

Thanks also for the link with the SSB notes. I knew I had seen them before, just did not remember where.
