Cha2,

Not sure I understand your second point. Would you elaborate for this "learner" please.

Aus could do much better than I in this area but the last I have heard Eli stated that Sandisk was a year ahead of Intel (StrataFlash) in D2 (Double Density) flash technology. I was out of Sandisk but the acquisition of additional patents in MLC (multi-level-cell) just prior to the JV with Matsushita and Toshiba peaked my interest again. Subsequent statements from both of these new partners concerning Sandisk's MLC technology caused me to take a relatively small position at 65.

To the best of my understanding the first division was a regulation, read and assignment of logiclal value (data) of the intracellular current. From what I have read the next division is like a partition or wall with each half capable of being independently regulated. By combining these two methodologies I believe D4 may not be far away.

A big caveat here is that in Physics I made a Bong out of some of my lab equipment.

Regards
Stew
