Well then... aren't you special. You claim you have experience with ALL government systems, so tell me the strengths and weaknesses of each state's penal code. On second thought, forget it. Your statement was obviously another one of your self-lifting exaggerations.

Being as special as you claim, why do you feel you can't pass judgment on a murderer's actions? You'd make a lousy juror or judge if you can't evaluate what someone "deserves" for committing a heinous crime.

I do not want to rejoice or approve the killing of another human being whether some people think that person "deserves" it or not.

And neither do reasonable supporters of capital punishment rejoice or approve of killing. But sometimes to protect the rights of others and to preserve faith that there is justice in our society, distasteful things need doing, including executing animals masquerading as humans, who kill so they may not kill again.

Back in one of those colonial wars we used to fight I got to know a bunch of killers. A guy who used to drag me out to drink with him had killed a dozen Chinese guys with a machine gun in Chosin and wore the Silver Star. Now there was a dangerous guy. He would pick fights (he was a little squirt) and then brutally beat his chosen victim and try to drag me into it if his victim's friends interfered. The guy who slept in my lower bunk was a convicted murderer from New Hampshire. A brig rat -- in and out for desertion. I drank with him voluntarily. He was a loyal friend and understood what would happen if he drank too much. I much preferred the murderer to the hero.
I draw no general conclusions from this experience except one should be very careful with whom he drinks.
