TH,

The "Never Comprimise Grey Matter Putter", my wife always says I need more "grey matter", maybe that's one golf purchase she wouldn't complain about.

Notah Begay was impressive in his win at Hartford. I'm always impressed when a pro wins with a long putt on the 18th, as Nicolas did so many times, it shows great competitive spirit and nerves. He's got a good on course personality, I hope he has staying power as he would be good for the game. Also nice to see a funky swing win, all the young guys seem to have the same swing these days (X Furik). Of course the worst case would be to have another John Daly.

Flag tournament tomorrow. You add your handicap to the course par, and when you get to that number of strokes, you plant your flag where your ball lies. The winner usually gets to the 20th hole (2nd hole second time around), it's even gone to the 21st fairway. The way I played this weekend I don't expect to get past the 16th <g>. Will probably hit the range today and work on my long irons which are consistant in that the ball lands anywhere except where there is short grass.

Happy 4th, hope everyone has an opportunity to play tomorrow.

John
