It is widely known in the legal and behavioral science communities that eye witnesses are some of the least reliable evidence that exists. But, they carry a great deal of weight with juries.

Tell me, do you really believe that before there was an organized system of justice that there were no murders and no murderers?

If that were so, then we must certainly abolish all such systems of justice!

Sometimes what we think we see is not what we are seeing -- especially if someone is being raped or murdered right in front of you. The mind can play tricks.

Those would have to be some really serious drugs not to know that the rape or murder of your six year old daughter right in front of your eyes was not really that.
