So OMD, what is your take on that story?? I say the SI crock of BS continues to over flow.

The sad thing is that they don't seem to realize that customers are intelligent and can tell when they are being lied to. And from having been involved in a good deal of litigation over the years, I can also say that most lawsuits would not have been filed if the damage control had been handled more honestly.

There was a study of doctors a few years back which concluded that the most important factor in whether a doctor gets sued is not the quality of care but the ability to form a bond of trust through honest communication between doctor and patient. Doctors who communicate well with their patients and whose patients genuinely like them are less likely to get sued even when they do make mistakes.

In my experience the same principles apply in other contexts. If they were honest with us, they would be lessening the likelihood of legal action being taken.

I am still waiting for that honesty to surface.

P.S. - careful what you say about the Irish, I am more Irish than anything else.
