Steve, all the complaints I've ever heard have been about AMD, not Intel. My own son took 2 K6 PCs back to Fry's because they didn't work. With corporate being essentially 100% Intel for so long, if there were anything wrong with them, you'd think it would have come out by now. Good try.

re: <<Runs flawlessly. More stable than my other iNteL systems with NT and Linux!

Could iNteL's HUGE errata list might have something to do with everyone complaining about Microsoft operating systems?

That would be a hoot wouldn't it?

All of these years of complaining about blue screens of death and now with AMD Athlons we might discover it was all due to iNteL's junk?>>

In all seriousness this is not the first that I have heard of this. Can you imagine what would happen if somehow Microsoft let it leak out that the dreaded BSof/D is more an inteL errata problem than a Microsoft software problem?

Just a thought.

Regards,

DARBES

Hello Steve,

Re: "Runs flawlessly. More stable than my other iNteL systems with NT and Linux!
Could iNteL's HUGE errata list might have something to do with everyone complaining about Microsoft operating systems?"

That's been my experience. We now have 44 Athlon systems at work and none of them cause problems. One of them is running NT 4.0 Server, the rest are running Win 98 SE. They are all fantastically reliable. All are SMOOTH running machines, especially the one running as a server, the performance jump was greater than I expected.

Kindest regards,
CrazyMan
