Hi,
What a great week this was for me.
Got to sell 10% of AMKR in my IRA just two days after I bought it.
8% of my COMS at better than 50% profit (LIFO basis).
Bought these shares last March and April at 25 and 22 per share). Haven't done the calculations yet but that's in the range of 150% profit.
Even stodgy old MRK gave me a sell of 5.4% of my holdings. I bought these shares in January of 1995 at a split adjusted price of 18.90 for about a 400% profit in 5.5 yrs. MRK is my biggest holding since it was the first stock I bought about 6 yrs ago. I guess Bob was right about large Portfolio Control turning into B&H.(well almost). Those shares have been paying a nice $1.16 dividend. That works out to about 6% based on what I paid for them. And this was during a period of time when MoneyMarkets were paying 4%. In any event Aim knew when to sell. Many thanks again to Mr. Lichello.
This is one place where Vealies worked to perfection. These shares represent 50% of whats left of my original purchase. By using Vealies I Was able to preserve both the shares and their dividend.
I also got to sell 6.7% of my APCC for a 102% profit. I bought these shares in February of last year. I've held APCC almost as long as MRK but it has a much higher turnover rate. Just goes to show how flexible AIM is. It handles every stock differently depending on what their needs are.
It really is amazing how much action one gets with AIM even in a market that the experts think is going nowheres.
Bernie

IFCI - SRM - CLZR

A Few more to ponder. Less than $30, 20 & 10...

CLZR
Candela Corporation develops, manufactures, markets and services lasers for a broad variety of aesthetic and cosmetic procedures, including hair removal, non-invasive treatment of varicose veins and other benign vascular lesions, removal of benign pigmented lesions such as age spots and tattoos, treatment of scars and stretch marks and skin resurfacing.

The reason I bring this one up is because it is under $10 and maybe you need to get rid of some tattoo’s. As we get older we need to take care of our vanity…

I looked at this one because it was under $20. Like the fact that they are getting some international contracts but also like the stuff going on at the home turf.
