Feria Bronzed Brown Ooooo--

I had to look up feria--
A weekday on a church calendar on which no feast is observed.
Does this mean you will have to change colors depending on church holy days?
This seems a very strange way to label hair color.

Ascension Auburn
Ash Wednesday Blonde
Sacred Heart Henna
White Christmas
Resurrection Red

I got highlights Friday-- I asked my new colorist what the name of the color she was using was- she said- "we don't usually give the names to our clients",
I wonder why.
Are they afraid we'll get attached?
Erica Jong Does Haircolor.
The Zipless Dyejob.

Do not allow your client to establish an intimate relationship with her haircolor. This is just a business deal, remember.

I pressed her on this. Reluctantly she told me that I was getting two colors.
My hair was involved in a ménage a trois!
I felt suddenly wild and decadent.
One's name, she confessed finally, was Dawn.
(Easter Dawn? Or perhaps they don;t use L'Oreal but some heathen brand)
ANd the other?
Bleach.
I was appalled. Bleach? that sounds so cheap and tacky. So trailertrash!

That won't do, I said firmly, I want you to call it something nicer.
But it's just bleach, she said apologetically.
Not on me, no ma'am.
it's -- Bubbling Champagne.
That sounds elegant, I think.

"My usual bandanna looks exactly like the ones the Kamakaze pilots tied on before
they flew off to attack our ships"

hachimaki -- le mot juste!
