Re: "the agreement was for a six month period" NOT!

IMO, you definitely have a serious integrity problem!

The facts are :

The agreement was for 5 years not 6 months.

The movement of the Hitachi DRAM memory business into a joint venture with NEC was well known before the settlement.

If Hitachi resumes DRAM production during the term of the contract, they may do so by paying the required royalties.

Hitachi is paying continuing to pay for the SDRAM controllers in the SH series of microprocessors. THese are widely used microprocessors and controllers and the royalty stream will continue for the 5 years term of the contract.
The royalty on controller logic is 3 to 5% a lot more than on the DRAM.

Dan, if what you are saying is true, that rmbs management, through ommission, attempted to deceive the public, including its shareholders, in order to drive their stock up to give them the ability to quickly sell their shares and take huge profits--would you hold that they are subject to a lawsuit. I am not an attorney, but if what you are saying is true, I would think that the rest of the investment world, including humongous institutional investors would have filed suit by now. At the very least they would have shed ownership within a heartbeat of finding this out...never to trust rmbs mngt again. Is it possible you are on to something here?

Do you really believe rmbs management is attempting such an obvious swindle? Curious as to your response because I regularly scour a dozen or so publications and "threads" but have not come accross this.

It is painful to read your posts.
You really don't have a clue as to where Rambus is going.

Keep grasping at your nonsensical straws, while we keep making money.
