Yes I am aware of that. However the reason for not being significant is that QCOM has extracted very low rates. According to QCOM's 10K Omnitracs services generate over 2.5 billion messages per year. From QCOM 10K: ...QWS estimates the Network Management Facilities worldwide currently process over seven million messages and position reports per day.

SKIP PAUL / bryston.. Regarding OmniTracs on G.. QCOM has been silent on the migration of OmniTracs to G.. And since OmniTracs is a QCOM cash cow.. I would not envision QCOM even considering the migration until some point (if ever) that G* becomes financially self supporting.. BTW.. It still appears that QCOM is continuing to persue the Trademark. GLOBALTRACS with the USPTO.. tess.uspto.gov And type in Globaltracs.. Unfortunatly, for QCOM I regiestered the domain name Globaltracs.Com months before they applied for the trademark... PCSTEL
