CHris, --- -Nonononono--- see if you can follow this- without getting all upset and jumping on your capslock and bold....
Unlike you, I make no judgment of what is acceptable to GOD at all; your relationship with Him is between the two of you. I can not know what is in your heart.
But I can -- and often DO--judge people by my OWN standards, and these are what I judge you by. What I see in you, not what God sees in you. while YOU on the other hand, are judging people's worthiness to enter into the Kingdom as if you had divine knowledge of His mind. You did this with Edwarda, and THAT is a whole different ballgame. When you placed yourself in the position of judging her righteousness, you committed the sin of spiritual arrogance

I used the term "sadly for you" because you are denying that the Inquisition was an act of a CHristian Church. In the eyes of the world, it was, and is thus judged as such by the world; much as you would like to dissociate yourself from them, they acted as an arm of God.
As for God's choosing us, perhaps you should let Him take care of that and not try to do it for Him.

CHris, --- -Nonono-- see if you can follow this without getting all upset and jumping on your capslock and bold, ok?....

Unlike you, I am making no judgment of what is acceptable to GOD at all; your relationship with Him is between the two of you. I can not know what is in your heart.

But I can -- and often DO--judge people by my OWN standards, and these are what I am judging you by. What I see in you, not what God sees in you. while YOU on the other hand, are judging people's worthiness to enter into the Kingdom as if you had divine knowledge of His mind. You did this with Edwarda, and THAT is a whole different ballgame. When you placed yourself in the position of judging her righteousness, you committed , it seems to me, the sin of spiritual arrogance.

ANd I used the term "sadly for you" in my post, because you are denying that the Inquisition was an act of a CHristian Church. In the eyes of the world, it was, and is thus judged as such by the world. As much as you would like to dissociate yourself from them, they acted as an arm of God and it gets all mixed together in the history of Christianity.

As for God's choosing us, perhaps you should let Him take care of that and not try to do the choosing for Him.
