Rambi, I judge myself according to what God's word says about me. If I am truthfully honest I can see that I lack greatly, but that doesn't mean there is no hope for me.

I heard a message by Dr. Vernon Mcgee the other day and he said something interesting. There is a certain song that says "Prone to wander, Lord I feel it, prone to leave the God I love", well a number of people didn't like the negativity of it so they changed it to "Prone to love thee, Lord I feel it prone to serve the God I love." Any way a certain listener wanted his opinion. After thinking about it he concluded that he has two natures, the old carnal and the new which he recieved when he became a child of God. The carnal is prone to wander because it is not subject to and despises God while the new nature constantly crys "Abba, father". So both versions apply.

How hard it is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the flesh. I will go so far as to say it is IMPOSSIBLE. Only by the grace of God and the work of the Holy Spirit can any man come to God.

My message for the most part are to people of the flesh and is most difficult to bear. Nevertheless it is a seed.

Chris
