Apparently, buyers are purchasing homes despite appraisers deeming the purchase prices above fair market value

The formerly new neighbors three doors down flipped their property in just about twelve months for a quick 35 percent gain. Being one block off of the lake, it sold for just $20,000 below what the lakefront property in front of it sold for six months ago.

PK, all financial asset bubbles eventually grip real estate markets as well - which in turn become the biggest source of future loan defaults.
