Charles,

The argument seems to be taking a turn. First, I thought you guys were pursuing the car analogy, then all of a sudden you switch to books. Does that mean that books somehow comprise the software in cars?

Like it or not, that is the deal. GM, Ford, Chrysler, .... don't spend hundreds of million dollars to develop the optimum code for the Chinese to duplicate the ECU (yes the hardware is very easy to copy) and sell for quarter of the price.
