Hi Frank:

While mesh wireless networks can work fine in a fixed
wireless context, since the network topography can always
be adjusted (by adding nodes or repeaters) to make it work,
and power supply is not an issue, I do not see how the
VDMA approach could even be proposed in a mobile context,
where communications depend on the random location of
users between a sender and receiver, and their willingness
to deplete their batteries to carry somebody else's
transmission.

I also note that the WLGS enthusiast who contacted Jim
posted the same message on many wireless threads on SI.
I remain persuaded that investing in WLGS is as much
of a good bet as playing Russian roulette with all
chambers loaded.

Best regards,

Bernard Levy
