John,

I really am going to sell this idea hard to my local pro.

This just sounds like too much fun. Plus we have this wookie at the course that is always bullying people. He is prone to hitting balls into the group ahead and making statements like, "you have no business playing this game".

I have challenged him to a very large wager with no handicap, but he always backs down. Having his flag as a tangible display of his "potential" loss would be a great incentive for me.

Well better luck next year. I understand your point about having to save those strokes and the mindset it must produce.

Playing the "Jumbo" today, as I have a weeks vacation. I have been putting in mucho practice time. I feel a new low coming.

Have a good one all and hit em well. We get a Tiger golf clinic this week.

BTW, if you have not read "A Good Walk Spoiled", or John Feinstein's new one, "The Majors" you are missing a good read. No instruction, but a lot of insight on the mindset of the tour player.
