I agree that this is huge, but they'll face tough competition with the likes of CSCO and the LU's of the world, and eventually UWB.

Two possibilities here. One, it IS great news because it appears to be a very versatile solution that effectively expands the market for wireless local loops. Two, it could be a bargaining chip to be used in regard to the "Bluetooth" technology that is being promoted by Ericsson. Would QCOM now have an alternative and better technology that could be used if Ericsson and others pursue their crazy WCDMA policies? Just a thought!
