Not much talk about The Register's claim that AMD will cut the price of the 1 Ghz Athlon by 40% at the end of the month.

Maybe Drew Peck was right. However, I welcome this news. I think it portends good things to come (larger supply and higher speed grades).

Ted, <I am sure the AMD longs over at the RMBS thread are trying help you guys come to terms with reality. Think of it as a service or even a deprogramming.>

Come on, Ted, how much sense are the AMD longs going to knock into people who experienced at least a 2-to-1 gain in the past month?

Ted,

I am sure the AMD longs over at the RMBS thread are trying help you guys come to terms with reality. Think of it as a service or even a deprogramming.

However we over here do not need that service...so please call your boys home. They are just cluttering up the place.

First, change AMD to RMBS and RMBS to AMD and I could have written your post. I could help with your deprogramming as well, but personally I figure you're big boys and can deal with your own issues. A month or two ago, Scumbria happily posted the following chart (just as AMD inched ahead of RMBS):

Since I'm interested in making money, I'm happy with my portfolio to date. And the good news is that either investment has done well so far this year.

In addition, you do me the honor of supposing I have any more control over the RMBS longs than you have over the AMD longs who show up on ours. Since you guys don't seem to want to leave us alone, I'd guess that you're probably going to have to get used to having RMBS visitors on your thread as well. OTOH, if you guys can rein in the AMD folks who show up on the RMBS thread, I'm sure that the RMBS posters would probably feel less of a need to bother y'all here. Just a thought.
