I went out and bought an IMac for my daughter.
I'm building to systems from scratch. Both are AMD k6 3ds.

I went to Intels website. They have discontinued the vidio capture cards and no longer officially support them.

I had the wrong core volatage setting on one machine. It is purring now. Wait till I jam that Indeo card in again.

The other unit as soon as I click problem devices in system information WIN 98 the machine freezes. No Ctrl alt del ...I have to hit the reset. Ironic
One time the problem was an old programable keyboard from a 486.
It could be my sale PNY memory from Compusa. It is a desk top case. I have to remove the drives and the power supply to get to the memory. Maybe I put to much vasiline on the dimms to get them into the cheap, made in China slots. Maybe I fried the chip running at the wrong core volatage settings. I'm not looking forward to spending more hours with this.
I'm going to set my DV unit on a tripod in the woods tonight. Firefly city (Lightning Bugs)
Sorry for the spelling
