Interesting speculation, JS, but perhaps we should look at qcom's decline today in context with other tech issues and indices:

orcl -9.8%
jdsu -7.2%
sunw -4.4%
csco -4.3%
ibm -4.1%
qqq -3.9%
intc -3.8%
ge -3.6%
compx -3.2%
qcom -3.0%
msft -1.9%


The whole nasdaq tanked today based on a few earnings warnings, but qcom didn't fare all that badly. I agree the volume dried up due to lack of sellers, but that could just as easily signal a strong bottom as the beginning of a new step down.
