Hi sam; Re: "Interestingly, Thomson is showing practically no institutional 'sell' interest today -- and a fair amount of buy interest. fwiw"

In general, you will see Thomson showing institutional buying interest on mildly down days, and selling interest on mildly up days, not the reverse. The reason is that if an institution wanted to sell on a down day, it would really tank the stock. Instead, they tend to offer shares out on INCA, 1/16th above the bid.

Every now and then you will see big institutional sell interest on a down day, that will tend to crater a stock big time.
