Merrill Lynch raised its 12 month target today from $22.50 to $27-30. It expects order announcements the week of 7/24. I also note that Merrill has been quite conservative in its targets for Bombardier over the past several years.

Bombardier Receives 3 Orders for Regional Trains in
Switzerland

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--JULY 17, 2000--Bombardier Transportation has received orders
from three Swiss railways operators: BLS Lötschbergbahn,
Transports de Martigny et Région (TMR) and Transports Régionaux
Neuchâtelois (TRN) for low-floor articulated electric trainsets
(29 cars) of the NINA type. These trains are based on the ones
already in operation since a year and a half on the Berne's
suburban network, where they are particularly well appreciated by
passengers as well as by the operator. Total value of the three
orders is approximately Cdn$51.3 million (57 million Swiss francs)
and vehicles will be manufactured in the Villeneuve plant in
Switzerland.

* BLS ordered six 3-car trainsets, based on the ones of the first
order, to be used to enhance the service on the Berne's suburban
network, more specifically on the lines Berne-Neuchâtel, Berne-
Payerne and Berne-Schwarzenburg.

* TMR ordered three 2-car trainsets to be operated on the lines
Martigny-Orsières and Martigny-LeChâble.

* TRN ordered one 3-car trainset and one 2-car trainset to be
operated on the Val de Travers line. The first trainset will be
operational to ensure transportation services during Expo
2002,from May to October.
