OK, so a DSCDMA standard means 40% less royalties for QCOM (about 3%, versus about 5% for MCCDMA). That is, assuming all else is the same, which it isn't.

What year do you think there will be significant royalties from 3G? 2003 or 2004?

Gene, I was thinking the same thing today. Also SNDK had similar problems getting folks to appreciate their IPR...it was solved in the courts.

I would suspect we will get a clear picture soon. But damn this hurts.
