FT, The current issue of Scientific American raises valid questions about why we are not finding evidence of intelligent life in our galaxy. We probably should have found some evidence by now, but haven't. The argument is that we will probably be colonizing the galaxy in a few hundred years, and in a few million years will probably reach all of the habitable star systems. Because there are millions of star systems older than ours, an older evolved civilization should have already done that. Where are they?

It's a galactic jungle out there. We should keep a low profile.
