Dan,

I don't quite understand the tremendous runup in cellular companies

In my travels to Europe, one of the most noticeable differences in the culture is the prevalence of cell phones. Almost everybody in the UK has a cell phone.

Re: the tremendous runup in cellular companies..

Almost all of our student interns have personal cell phones. It seems like the coming generation expects everyone to be always carrying one.

I'd probably carry one, except that given the existing Palm Pilot and pager, there's already more geeky junk attached to me than I like.

The integration of all three is coming along nicely, we should have a wrist mounted timepiece/pager/cell phone/PDA/web browser/email client/GPS in 3 to 5 years.

Seiko and Timex just might take over Nokia's market - or vice versa.

:-)

Regards,

Dan

Dan, Well, I'd have to respectfully disagree with anybody calling Nokia a "lesser company"...

If you look back at my post you'll see that Goutama had used the term, that's why I used quotes around the word Lesser in my reply to him. My understanding of his use of the term was he was comparing the two companies tech/engineering/product diversity wise, not capitialization/revenue wise.

Perhaps you should ask Goutama what he meant?

What's your take on NOK the rumor? Any comment?

Kindest regards,
CrazyMan
