Oh I guess with only 16000 current subs, it's a distinct possibility. There'll be some pissed off people though. If this is done, however, this makes a bold statement about thier belief in the future.

It either says....enough with this bandaid and let's do it right, i.e. FTTH

or it says "we're not doing very well in this business--let's cut our losses and get out of last mile altogether."

In the former case, I'm not sure I see why they'd kill the service altogether. I could see no more new subs and migrate the current people at some future point. But they're past the nonrecurring costs for these people so I don't see why they'd kill it if this were the case. So it almost seems case 2 sounds more likely if they are in fact going to cut the service. Dunno.
