Well, since nobody here seems willing to talk about cars, is there any interest in car stocks? Or about stocks of manufacturers of car parts? Maybe stocks of publicly held race tracks? Any good buys you guys like now in these areas?

You DE and CAT people--- take your dirt-tilling, dirt-moving, incompetent hired hand, animal sob stories to the Farmer's Gazette. I wanna hear car talk here!

Well, it's jmo.

Oh, that outfit ... that's the bunch that took over Holt and Best, isn't it ... i wondered what became of them ... so they're trying to sell backhoes now, are they.

Cars .. [in deference to Paul S -g-] ... first new car ever was a '68 VW bug, 1600cc i think ... completely stock, that's the only way they came, there was one option for an AM radio and if you were lucky you could choose colour, i got white because i didn't like the others .... $2200Cdn all up, including tax ... at roughly the same time a guy i was working with paid more than twice that for one of the Chrysler hemi-mega-head creations ... he was always broke after ... killed himself in the stupid thing, didn't live to see the moon landing.

Had a five-cylinder Mercedes 300D later, electric sunroof, electric windows, 'drives like a bank', etc etc ... but it never would pick up the chicks that the VW did.

Now i just have a pickup ... going on sixteen years old, diesel, solid .. it works, good enough ... never did understand the car thing.

Buried a few cars with the John Deere, though -g- ... [seriously] .. cheers
