The fact that you cannot find one innocent person put to death

Hmmm, how about a little spin on this?

My candidate for "an innocent person put to death" is - Joie Armstrong. She was the environmentalist murdered in yosemite by the same person who killed the Sund family (Cory Stayner).

The reason I bring this up is, because these yosemite killings (I'm talking about the first 3 women here - a huge federal case), had detectives, FBI, local police etc. on the wrong track - totally - they were after a methanphetamine drug gang. They had all but convicted these drug addicts, even though they were all yelling for DNA tests!

Check out this article -
Sources: Jailed ex-con admits to role in sightseer slayings

A man behind bars for a parole violation has admitted he was involved in the slayings of three Yosemite National Park sightseers, according to law enforcement sources.

FBI agents have zeroed in on a loose-knit group of alleged methamphetamine users -- including Dykes and half-brother Michael Larwick -- and are confident that some of those responsible are already behind bars.

Larwick has professed his innocence and said he provided a blood sample to clear his name.

He has admitted to being involved? But he WASN'T INVOLVED - how did that happen?

This happened a while ago but I even read some articles at the time that said that fibers from the Pelossi clothing were found in the drug dealer's residence. This was all totally false.

Had Stayner not killed Joie Armstrong while these guys were locked up, what do you think would have happened to them? Death penalty, perhaps?

Report on Stayner ignored? Yosemite naturalist might be alive if FBI had listened, woman says

I have some first hand knowledge of a procedure which absolutely guarantees no harm can be done to the guards. The prisoners are kept in cells. There is a large can in the cell in which they excrete, mainly urine. Twice a day they are allowed out in small groups, heads bowed. If they break out of their line they are killed instantly by the guards with drawn rifles. The small groups go to the outdoor latrine. After a few minutes they must return to the cell, again in single file. I know this procedure works. I watched it for 3 years and 7 months. I think it is more humane than risking killing an innocent person.

During the period of time that the death penalty did not exist (before it was re-instated by the Supreme Court), the statistics show no significant increase in the murder rate... so your arguments that murder rates will go up are unfounded speculation.

Say that you agree to an experiment where you are given a .44 revolver handgun which has been engineered not to fire. The engineering is a bit flawed, however, and there is no 100% guarantee that it might not go off. Now you are instructed to point the loaded pistol, at point-blank range, and aim it directly between the eyes of each person who stands in front of you, squeeze the trigger, and let the hammer fall. There are 100 people so you must do this 100 times.

Question: How sure are you that, at the end of the experiment, every one of those 100 people will still be alive?
