Dear Tony: Damned if I know, but it sounded good at the time! (gg) I suspect he was merely trying to downplay the significance but like you I thought it a mistake. My reason for thinking it a mistake was the comment he made saying "no new functions" thats true but it doesnt address the fact they said they are going to spend 1 BILLION in the near future. That I presume results in NEW FUNCTIONS. I would have rather he just said, our equipment beats the pants off them seperately and will continue to beat the pants off them combined in our target market. JDN

Tony I may be way off base here and I read the same article as you "But EMC spokesman Mark Fredrickson was less than impressed.

"These two struggling server vendors announced no new functions,

features, or capabilities today that a customer couldn't buy last week," he
said.

I took this comment as these "Server Vendors" announced no new functions to there STORAGE FUNCTIONS. which is business as usual "no new business" Did I interpret this wrong!!!!
