>Does anyone know where to get up to date short information on individual stocks?

You can't. Any information you'll find is going to be at least a month old. The reason? The big brokerages keep the daily short information secret, because it is the biggest weapon they use to target short squeezes in a particular stock. Low float? Big short position? Just buy a million shares of XYZ.COM and the stock will double. Repeat and rinse if desired.

There's no way in hell they'll ever give up this lucrative information in anything other than a 30 day delayed manner.

KIS isn't exactly right on this, but close enough. You can't. If you have a good relationship with a ML they could give you an idea, but even they don't know for sure until the tallies are added up every month.

Ever noted that special SEC fee on the trade confirms on short sales? That is supposed to be for paying for the extra record keeping and such.
