Cannibalism and human sacrifices were religion, just like burning people at the stake and chewing that little wafer and teaching the Ten Commandments.

Interesting the religion/guns comparison ... they both;
1. are inventions of Man.
2. are used for beneficial purposes sometimes.
3. are used for evil purposes often.

And they cross paths - i once heard a story of a priest blessing artillery shells in France during the 1914-18 war, don't know if that's true ... i do know that the german infantry at the time wore a belt with a large buckle that said 'Gott Mit Uns' [god is with us].

Vince, do you have reason to believe that religious people are any more or less moral and civil than non-religious people?
