IGWT (In God We Trust) is often a frequent debate subject for numismatics on the rec.collecting.coins group. IGWT first appeared on the 1864 2 cent piece. Most folks, however, do not realize it was not required on currency until 1954 and not added to the pledge of alliegence until then also.

Besides on this group "IGWT" means "In Gold We Trust"
