Sold My JDSU in my IRA, and took proceeds and bought SDLI.

Even if the deal were not to go through, SDLI is a blockbuster company.

What do you think of this possibility?

Both CEOs are strong technically --- as you heard on the CNBC interview, they've known each other for over 20 years. I'm not sure who's the stronger manager, but clearly both know how to run successful companies.

It goes without saying the respective earnings' conference calls will be interesting. Analysts will have time to formulate their questions and the quality of debate will be several notches higher than right now.

Incidentally, several weeks ago I heard Corning had offered a price that would have equated to $400, so that may be the floor.
