y2kate,

Irwin Jacobs is a Minneapolis "boy". In fact my first husband, (now deceased) grew up with Irwin in a small town about 60 mile north west of Minneapolis. Generally things Irwin touches turn to gold for a short period of time. He was the person that managed the front end of QVC. I have not looked at Qualcomm as an investment, but if you have wanted to make money with Irwin in the past you get in when he does and bail out when he gets his idea bought by wall street. Irwin is rich because he is a master marketer and he has had a knack of getting out with most of his money at the top.

Like I said I am not an expert on Qualcomm.

Joan

y2kate,

I was wrong about the Qualcomm head Irwin Jacobs being the person from Minneapolis. There are two folks with the same name.

Sorry for the confusion.

Joan
