There are types of corn that have been developed that have higher protein levels for nations that are underfed. Yellow rice that has been genetically manipulated to produce more vitamin A and sent to underdeveloped nations at no profit that would cure 100,000 cases of blindness a year and hasn't been planted because it's genetically engineered. Tomatoes that don't rot are rejected because they don't have the gene that causes them to rot. And people bitch when their tomatoes rot.
