Joe, 1GHz Athlons (classic & Tbird) show up at $850 minimum on pricewatch, now.

I recall $1399 in volumes of 1000 at or shortly after introduction.

How low do you think the ASP on 1GHz Athlons was over the quarter? I see little incentive to cut deals, given Intel's lack of volume... and 200K sounds like a reasonable # given the Mercury data from early in the quarter.

Given that Q2 was 'sold out' a couple weeks into the quarter, might OEMs have paid higher prices, rather than lower for classic 1 GHz CPUs?

I have more problems believing the $400 ASP for non-1GHz athlons, although, if the bulk was in 900/950... who knows...

I don't give the 1.5B # much credence... but it's fun nonetheless.
